PlayStation Museum has organized a charity auction of all four Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot games, signed by yours truly and Jason Rubin. The auction link can be found here. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Go bid!

Besides being an honor, it would also support charity, and considering I’ve ran a Crash Bandicoot 72-hour Marathon three years back, I know how effective this series can be when raising money for charity, as well as how it brings the community together.

This is a great idea for auction items …… I am always trying to raise money for non profit organizations. How do we arrange for this? Will my nephew, Erick P know the procedure?

  Ask him — or me. We have different stuff. He can easily get Uncharted games and get them signed by the leads I would imagine.

    Haha, cool. I tried playing it but can’t get any further than the Brio boss fight. Are there any levels after him on this version? Everyone’s been trying to guess the password.

I would really like to bid the Crash 3 game signed by you, especially for Crash and the charity, but unfortunately I don’t have time or money to do so, really….

By the way, Andy, can I ask you a question about Crash 3? Was ever planned a “Death Route” soundtrack for the underwater levels? One of my friend played the demo version of Under Pressure and found that in the background was playing a sort of Death Route soundtrack at the moment that Crash took the robotic fish. So, unless the demo was modified or something…

  I totally can’t remember. Each game certainly had 4-5 song takes that didn’t make it into the final version. We were also experimenting a bit in Crash 3 (and a lot in Jak 1 and 2) with “adaptive” music (that changed based on gameplay modes). Ultimately that avenue was scrapped in favor of streaming as opposed to MIDI music.
